Aim of the Program
Program Objectives
Doğuş University Master of Architecture Program aims to educate professionals who will shape national and international searches in the field of architecture, contribute to the production of knowledge, and take part in professional discussions both within the discipline of architecture and interdisciplinary professional discussions.
In line with this goal, the vision of the program is shaped on interdisciplinary studies and looking at universal issues from the perspective of architecture, while opening up new intersections. The program is based on conducting discussions on current debates and future visions, addressing the accumulation of the discipline with different dimensions from today and developing a researcher's perspective.
Doğuş University Architecture Master's Program aims to contribute to the formation of a rich production environment with young professionals and researchers and to contribute to the production of theoretical and practical knowledge.
Program Structure
Doğuş University Graduate School of Graduate Studies Master of Architecture program is a thesis program and is conducted in Turkish.
In the program, students are required to take a total of 7 courses including 1 compulsory seminar (non-credit, 7.5 ECTS), 1 compulsory (3 credits, 7.5 ECTS) and 6 elective courses (18 credits, 45 ECTS) and prepare a master thesis (non-credit, 60 ECTS) under the supervision of the advisor. The courses and seminar must be completed in 4 semesters and the program must be completed in maximum 6 semesters. In the 3rd and 4th semesters, the master's thesis will be done.
In order to graduate, students must complete 21 credits and 120 ECTS and have a GPA of at least 2.50. Courses are held between 18.00 - 21.00 on weekdays.
Candidates who completed their undergraduate education outside the field of architecture must successfully complete the scientific preparation program consisting of four compulsory courses.
