Foreign Student Admission Requirements

Application Conditions for Prospective Foreign Students to Doctoral and Thesis-Based Master's Programs:

  • Prospective foreign students who will apply to the thesis-based master's program must hold a bachelor's degree from a faculty or school. Applicants who have obtained their bachelor's degree from abroad must present a recognition or equivalency document obtained from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Foreign students who have completed their education abroad must have obtained an equivalency document issued by YÖK for "Postgraduate programs affiliated with Clinical Practice-Related Departments" (Surgical Diseases Nursing) and present it during the application process.

     

  • Prospective foreign students who will apply for the doctoral program must hold both a bachelor's and a thesis-based master's degree. Applicants who have obtained their bachelor's and/or master's degrees from abroad must present a recognition or equivalency document obtained from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

     

  • Prospective foreign students who will apply and register for the thesis-based master's or doctoral programs are not required to submit ALES or an equivalent exam result document.

     

  • Prospective foreign students and prospective students of the Republic of Turkey who have completed their entire undergraduate education abroad are not required to take a foreign language exam for admission to Turkish Doctorate/Art Proficiency programs, In the case where these students do not submit exam results with their applications, a foreign language score of 55 points is considered for the evaluation of student admission.

     

  • Interview is not required for admission to Doctorate/Art Proficiency and The Thesis-Based Master's programs, in the case where these students do not participate in the interview during their application, an interview evaluation score of 50 points is considered for student admission.

     

  • For the English the thesis-based master's program applications of prospective foreign students, it is necessary to obtain the required score from the centrally accepted foreign language exam administered by ÖSYM in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, or Persian, other than their mother tongue, as required by the program they are applying to. If the applicant has graduated from an undergraduate/master's program in a country where the language of instruction is other than their mother tongue or if they have graduated from a program in a country where the language of instruction is the official language of that country, they are not required to provide a language certificate.

     

  • Prospective foreign students who have not graduated from English undergraduate programs and who are applying to the English thesis-based master's programs are required to take our university's English Proficiency Exam (DÜİYES). Students who pass the exam can commence their studies, while those who do not pass will be enrolled in English preparatory training.

     

  • Prospective foreign students must present a document from Doğuş University Turkish Teaching Center (TÖMER) indicating that their Turkish language proficiency is at the C1 level in order to enroll in graduate programs where the language of instruction is Turkish. If students do not have a Turkish Proficiency Certificate at the C1 level and fail the TÖMER exam administered by our university, they are required to enroll in Turkish preparatory class at our university. If students fail to obtain the C1 level Turkish Proficiency Certificate within 1 year, their affiliation with the institute will be terminated without progressing to the course stage.

     

  • Applicants who have graduated from Turkish undergraduate and/or master's and/or doctoral programs in Turkey are not required to provide a TÖMER Certificate.

 

Application Conditions for Prospective Foreign Students to Non-Thesis Master's Programs:

 

  • Prospective foreign students who will apply for non-thesis master's programs must hold a bachelor's degree from a faculty or school. Applicants who have obtained their bachelor's degree from abroad must present a recognition or equivalency document from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

     

  • Prospective foreign students are not required to submit ALES or an equivalent exam result document.

     

  • For the English non-thesis master's program applications of prospective foreign students, it is necessary to obtain the required score from the centrally accepted foreign language exam administered by ÖSYM in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, or Persian, other than their mother tongue, as required by the program they are applying to. If the applicant has graduated from an undergraduate/master's program in a country where the language of instruction is other than their mother tongue or if they have graduated from a program in a country where the language of instruction is the official language of that country, they are not required to provide a language certificate.

     

  • Prospective foreign students who have not graduated from English undergraduate programs and who are applying to English non-thesis master's programs are required to take our university's English Proficiency Exam (DÜİYES). Documents Required for Enrollment in Thesis/Non-Thesis Master's Program:

 

• Bachelor's Diploma (Notarized Turkish Translation)

• Bachelor's Transcript (Notarized Turkish Translation)

• School Recognition Certificate or Equivalency Certificate from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK)

• Passport

• English Language Proficiency Certificate (For English Programs) (Applicants must obtain the required score from the centrally accepted foreign language exam administered by ÖSYM in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, or Persian, other than their mother tongue, as required by the program they are applying to, or take our university's English Proficiency Exam (DÜİYES).)
