Objectives of the Program
As a result of the wide range of applications and widespread use of computer technologies, the need for researchers, developers and productive engineers in the industry is increasing. The aim of this program is to train people who can use the necessary
theoretical and practical knowledge effectively in the fields of computer science, computer software and computer hardware, can follow the developments in the world and make expertise and leadership in the fields of research and development and production
in the industry.
Structure of the Program
The Master of Science (MSc) Program in Computer and Information Sciences gives two different options: thesis and non-thesis.
1. The Non-Thesis Master Program provides a broad range of courses covering the theories, structure, functions and applications of computer and related technologies.
2. In The Thesis Master Program, research and academic studies are emphasized in order to enable the students to continue their doctorate program.
Computer and Information Sciences Master Program is carried out as 2 semesters in one year and must be completed in 6 semesters or 3 years at most.
Computer and Information Sciences Thesis Master Program consists of 2 compulsory, 2 compulsory elective and 3 elective courses. In total, 21 credits of course and 6 credits of thesis.
Computer and Information Sciences Non-Thesis Master's Program consists of 2 compulsory, 3 compulsory elective and 5 elective courses. In total, 30 credits of courses and a Master Project.
