Aim of the Program
Aim of the Program
As an inevitable result of the changes in the world and in our country, new generation engineering products and systems consist of systems that contain various functionalities, consist of smart materials, have high energy efficiency and work in harmony with the environment. This change has revealed the need for academicians and engineers who can keep up with innovations at the universal level, who can work in universities and industrial organizations that can take part in academic and industrial competition. In this context, the necessity of continuing the post-graduate education process has gained importance in our country as in the world. Mechanical engineering is a branch of engineering that constitutes the driving force of this change, takes part in every process of change and contributes.
The aim of the Mechanical Engineering master's program can be grouped under two general headings:
a. To Train Faculty Member Candidates: To train students with academic competence and proficiency who can be placed in the doctoral programs of universities with a successful academic history in our country and in the world.
b. To train engineer candidates who can work in an integrated manner with industry and academia: To train engineers who can follow the developments in the world, produce innovative ideas, and have the competence and competence to successfully take part in and contribute to the R&D activities of the institutions they work for, as well as domestic and international project collaborations.
In line with the above-mentioned objectives, the Master's program in Mechanical Engineering with Thesis will provide candidates with a strong foundation to carry their academic research to the PhD level. For example, it will create a rich learning environment that will enable candidates to carry out academic research processes in line with the thesis studies they will carry out during their master's degree. In addition, Doğuş University will provide candidates with the theoretical background and the ability to use the application tools they need to solve the current problems encountered in the industry with an academic perspective in a shorter time, less cost and more efficiently.
