The aim of the General Law Theory course is to provide students who are graduates of different Faculties the meaning, branches and sources of law; application and methods of legal rules; basic legal institutions and relations. The course aims to provide the students with the knowledge and skills about theory and practice about the problems that may encounter in basic legal relations and the methods of solving these problems.

The aim of the Basic Principles of Private Law course is to give information about the basic concepts of private law, the types of rights, acquisition of rights, protection of rights, basic contractual relations, basic principles of commercial law. Basic concepts of private law, types of rights, acquisition of rights, protection of rights, basic debt relations, basic principles of commercial law will be discussed.

In this course, the students who are studying in the master program with thesis conduct a research on a specified subject and present a seminar on that subject. Research methods, pre-preparations of scientific work, writing information is given. This course is given by the instructor according to the subject chosen by the student.

Students who want to specialize in the field, under the supervision of faculty members in the department, draft a written report in accordance with the rules of scientific writing.

It is the preparation of a study in accordance with the rules of scientific writing to be defended in front of the jury under the supervision of the thesis supervisor appointed by the Institute Board of Directors and approved by the Board of Directors of the Graduate School.

In this course, the aim, mechanism, legal quality and problems of financial leasing agreements and possible solutions for these problems will be examined.

The subject of the course is to examine the changes made in the field of commercial enterprise, trade name, trade registry, unfair competition, agencies, trading companies, negotiable instruments within the scope of the New Turkish Commercial Code.

In the individual labor law domain, cases of reinstatement and indemnity cases, the procedures to be applied and the types of evidence, demonstration of evidence and sanctions to be applied to unlawful evidence will be discussed. On the other hand, the difficulties encountered in the execution of reinstatement decisions will also be discussed. Other current issues related to labor law will be examined within the framework of Supreme Court decisions. Current developments in European Union Law in the field of Labor Law will also be handled comparatively with Turkish Law within the framework of the judgments of the Court of First Instance and European Court of Justice.

The subject of this course, the structure and functioning of sports clubs, Professional Sports Federations, the obligations of the parties in sports contracts, the provision of discipline in sports, prevention of violence and irregularity in sports competitions, athletes injuries and deaths arising from the responsibility of sports competitions. In addition, the course will deal with the competent national and international authorities in resolving disputes arising from athletes' contracts.

The new regulations in the New Turkish Commercial Code, concerning the establishment of joint stock companies, general assembly, audit and board of directors, the transfer of shares, the legal nature of the shareholders' agreement, and the rights and obligations of the parties shall be examined by giving examples.

The subject of this course is the EU and American Antitrust Law as well as the regulations on horizontal and vertical competition restrictions in Turkish Competition Law (harmonized action, abuse of dominant position, cartel agreements, etc.) and the sanctions imposed on them and the Law on Competition Protection. In this course, the concept of competition in the economic sense, the concept of undertaking as an actor of Competition Law, the terms and conditions of the anti-competitive, disruptive or restrictive agreement, the concept and conditions of abuse of the dominant position in the Competition Law, the side limitations in the merger and acquisition agreements, mergers and acquisitions that should be obtained from the Competition Authority and in Competition Law, exemplary investigations concerning inter-rival agreements will be examined.

In this course, the basic legal principles of Transport and Insurance Law, transport contract, the provisions of the Turkish Commercial Code on transport works and transport deed, the International Convention on Road Freight Transportation (CMR) and its application, the Supreme Court review of the Transport and Insurance Law disputes will be subject to review.

In this course, the concept and elements of the environment, environmental problems, causes and solutions, the right of the environment and the way the law  regulates environmental protection, the sources and theoretical foundations of environmental law, basic principles of environmental law, environmental impact assessment, legal responsibility in environmental law, development of environmental legislation and basic Laws, Environmental Law and international legislation will be discussed.

The subject of our course covers an important part of consumer transactions such as sales, travel contracts, vacation holidays, rights owned by consumers in defective goods or services, legal supervision of general transaction conditions and the functioning of consumer courts and the differences concerning liability between the Code of Obligations and Consumer Law.

In this course, the general principles of Intellectual Property Law will be examined and the legal characteristics of the concepts of trademark, patent and utility model will be emphasized within the scope of Industrial Property Law. In this context, the protection of the trademark, patent and utility model, as well as the usurpation of the material and moral rights of the author, who is called as copyrights, and the civil and criminal cases to be opened in case of infringement of these rights and the legal procedure will be examined.

The subject of this course is the new Turkish Code of Obligations provisions concerning the establishment of bail agreements, mutual rights and debts of the parties, the changes that occur in the termination of these agreements, as well as the differences between the guarantee agreements (especially in mortgages and mortgage bonds etc.)

This course focuses on the relevant provisions of the Civil Code and the decisions of the Court of Cassation in the family law domain. The functioning of family courts, the reasons for divorce, custody, property regimes and liquidation procedures will also be examined.

In this course, the legal responsibility arising from not keeping the land registry records correctly, double title deed, correction of corrupt registration, duty court and trial procedure, statute of limitations, cadastral determinations, border and area determination issues will be examined.

In this course, the responsibility and the provisions to be applied in case of the transfer of assets of the operators under heavy debt burden with the intention of harming the creditors and thus trying to get rid of the debt against the creditors completely or to save time are discussed. In such cases, our legal code includes a number of provisions that protect creditors. The most important of these provisions, such as art. 179, art. 277 and art.280 / III of Execution and Bankruptcy Law will be discussed in the course.

The subject of the course is the legal nature of the trademark, the duties and powers of the Turkish Patent Institute, the relations with the Unfair Competition Law, the issues to be considered in the examination of the possibility of confusion of registration, cancellation and the invalidity cases in practice.

In the scope of Turkish Commercial Code, new regulations in maritime trade law, ship registry, ship rescue, ship creditors and legal pledge rights, ship mortgage, Straits Regulation will be discussed.

The subject of the course is the General Principles of Capital Market Law, issuance of stocks or debt instruments by companies, public offering, asset-backed securities, issuance of non-voting shares and exchangeable bonds, real estate investment trusts, investment trusts and mutual funds. Structure and Duties of the Capital Markets Board.

The concept and the purpose of expropriation, the concept of occupation, the conditions of expropriation in accordance with various regulations on this subject and the provisions to be applied and the types of lawsuits that can be filed constitute the course content.

The course will be examined and evaluated by considering current livelihood aids, educational aids, vocational aids, housing aids for the poor and low income, institutions and organizations providing these aids, international conventions, concrete incidents, judicial decisions and other reflections.

The search for alternative solutions and related legal arrangements have become debatable in Turkish law. In this respect the arbitration procedure, which is known as one of the alternative remedies, has already been reviewed in the New Code of Civil Procedure and has become an increasing application, especially in recent years. Arbitration in International Public Law, Arbitration in International Private Law, International Conventions, UNCITRAL Rules, Turkish International Arbitration Law will be examined.

In this course, the establishment and development process of the European Union, its executive organs (council, commission, ECJ etc.), the powers of these bodies, the application of the “acquis communautaire” to member state law will be examined. The course aims to examine the main features of EU Law, the functioning of EU institutions, relations with the member states in line with the EU Founding Treaties, secondary sources and the decisions of the European Court of Justice. In this course the compliance of the Turkish law with the “EU acquis” will be touched and the impact of Turkey's possible membership on EU institutions.

The main subject of the course is the new Code of Civil Procedure in terms of discretionary and definitive evidence. The presentation of evidence to the court, unlawful evidence, evidence substitution at the stage of appeal, the prohibition of the expansion of claims and defense will also be analyzed.

In this course, characteristics of regulations in labor law, basic principles and considerations applied in labor law (such as worker-employer-employer-sub-employer-workplace-enterprise), characteristics of labor contract (the definition, elements-qualities-types of the employment contract), the rights and obligations of the parties in the employment contract, the termination of the employment contract, working hours, rest periods, occupational health and safety issues will be examined in the light of concrete events and judicial decisions.

In this course includes several sub divisions of labor law such as actors of collective labor relations (trade unions), the development of trade unionism, the concept of trade union right, the founding principles of trade unions, the top organizations (confederations), the founders of trade unions and establishment procedures, trade union bodies, trade union membership, trade union activities, trade union supervision, trade unions the right and autonomy of the contract, the content of the collective bargaining agreement, the legal nature of the collective bargaining agreement, the execution of the collective bargaining agreement, the scope of the collective bargaining agreement, the termination of the collective bargaining agreement, collective disputes and remedies, the concepts of strikes and lockouts, striking and lockout decisions. and its implementation, the impact of the strike and lockout on the employment contract, illegal strikes and lockouts.

In this course, the definition of marine receivables, examination of the provisions of international maritime conventions, comparison of the provisions of the Turkish Commercial Code and these Conventions, the examination of the relationship between ship receivables and maritime receivables and the problems caused by this relationship in practice, especially whether there is a difference between the two receivables in the detention of ships.

The subject of the course is the validity of the contracts containing the general transaction conditions in the New Turkish Code of Obligations and the Law on the Protection of the Consumer.

In this course, the new regulations on social security systems are examined. General Principles of the Social Security La, Social Security System in Turkey, Analysis of New System in the Framework of the Social Security Law and Issues, Characteristics of Social Insurance, Financing, scope and obligations of the parties, the Social Insurance Types, Individual Pension System will be examined.
