Objectives of the Program
Considering that we are living in a rapidly changing information age and that Electrical and Electronics Engineers (EEE) play the most important role in this age, the aim of the program is to provide the ground and knowledge to train both engineers and academicians who will work in this field at an advanced level so that our country can catch up with the age and keep up with this rapid change. Taking into account, on the one hand, the intense need for EEE specialists both in Turkey and in the world and, on the other hand, the dizzying pace of developments in this field, the PhD program has been prepared to meet the current requirements and possible future changes in this very dynamic subject will be taken precautions by opening new selection courses. The program offered at Doğuş University and a competent academic staff have been carefully selected to meet these requirements.
Structure of the Program
There are two Ph.D. programs in Turkish at Doğuş University one after receiving a Master's degree and the other after Bachelor's degree. The aim of the program is to educate engineers who have
the necessary basic knowledge in this broad and complex field, who can follow the innovations and who can make original results by doing research.
Doctoral Program for Master's Degree Graduates
In addition to taking 6 elective and 1 compulsory course, the student is required to prepare a PhD seminar and a PhD thesis. In order to graduate, the student must successfully defend his/her thesis in front of a jury. In order to graduate, a total of 240 ECTS is required.
Doctoral Program for Students without Master degree
In addition to taking 14 elective and 1 compulsory course, the student is required to prepare a PhD seminar and a PhD thesis. In order to graduate, the student must successfully defend his/her thesis in front of a jury. In order to graduate, a total of 300 ECTS is required.
